Counselling is a talking therapy and there are several different modalities such as CBT, Person-Centred and Psychodynamic. Your Counselling Space offers an integrative approach which means all of the modalities are used as and when appropriate. In a non-judgmental, confidential and safe environment you are listened to and you are heard.
When you begin to be heard you being to be healed. Exploring your thoughts and feelings from today, and from the past, can help shape your understanding of who you are and where you’re going. We can understand together what it is that may be causing you to feel overwhelmed and anxious or whatever difficulties you are going through.
You are not alone.
The Counselling room is a unique space positioned on the 3rd floor above the bustling streets of Horsham. Here you will find solace, serenity and a setting which will make you feel totally at ease. As we build our therapeutic alliance gently and empathetically the bond of trust, which forms the foundation of our work together, begins to build.
Making the decision to seek counselling is probably the hardest step. But what you are doing is putting yourself and your needs first – sometimes for the first time. Its ok to press pause on life, briefly, to iron out the creases that are tripping you up. To walk on a journey of self-discovery is to explore who you are, where you came from and ultimately – where you’re going.
Your journey starts here.
The world is a challenging place at the moment.
There is stress, pressure and anxiety in almost every decision we make – in every situation we find ourselves in. From school, through work/family life and into retirement there are difficult roads to navigate. With an almost laser focus on every decision we make the fear of getting things wrong is bigger than ever before. Not to mention the harsh events that life throws at us with no notice. Grief, divorce, redundancy, illness and loss are just some of the things we are not prepared for but invariably have to deal with.
We all harbour the innate ambition to become the best possible version of ourselves. We are all hard wired to strive towards self-actualisation. The problem when the world around us is moving so quickly is we don’t have time for ourselves, to reflect, to think.
We all need that time. That space.
